My passion for supporting women began as a Massage Therapist, where I was first drawn to the extraordinary magic and strength of women’s bodies during pregnancy. This connection drew me deeper into the field, leading me to become a Midwife. Working within the clinical system, I had the privilege of supporting families through the profound moments of birth and early postpartum. Throughout all these career shifts, my personal yoga practice remained my absolute anchor—a steady, grounding foundation that sustained me through the demands of clinical work and life.

An incredible pivot occurred when I stepped into the yoga room, helping with pregnancy yoga and mums and bubs classes. It was in this sacred space that I was mentored by Bec Gilby. Working alongside Bec completely transformed my perspective, shifting my focus away from just the clinical aspects of birth and toward the deeply emotional, somatic, and relational sides of the journey.

This passion became intensely personal over the past year as I navigated my own transition into motherhood. Experiencing pregnancy, birth, and postpartum firsthand changed everything. I no longer just observed the gaps in postpartum care; I felt them deeply. I realised that once the birth ends and clinical care drops away, mothers are often left isolated, alone to carry the heavy emotional weight of their stories.

Being part of the Wilderness community highlighted for me just how vital a dedicated, safe space is during this often isolating transition. It acts as a true home for mothers; a place where we can share our stories openly. I realised it is the mother who needs to be held, so she can hold her baby. Today, I am honoured to bring this philosophy to life by facilitating our holistic 6-week mums and bubs postpartum support course.

To truly serve women through these profound gaps, I completed the Reconnected Birthing Mentorship, formalising my skills in birth debriefing. I now offer these dedicated birth debriefing services through my business, Motherhold (motherhold.au). This advanced training equips me to help you deeply process your birth story. Together, we can use somatic tools to release where your body holds the memory of your journey, ensuring you feel seen, heard, and completely supported
