Ella
Hello, I’m Ella.
I’m passionate about the interplay between movement, mindfulness and health. I love exploring these layers through the perspectives of science and Eastern philosophy, and this curiosity continues to fuel my own yoga practice, studies and inspiration to share.
From the days of the humble banana shed to what we now know as Wilderness, I’ve been fortunate to be mentored by Bec over the years, first as a student and later as a teacher. It’s been a beautiful journey of learning, growing and being part of a community that continues to evolve.
As an Exercise Physiologist, I’ve taught yoga and Pilates in both clinical and studio settings. I also find great joy in education, leading teacher trainings, workshops and retreats. I love learning, asking questions and exploring how we can bring together our understanding of the body with the deeper wisdom of yoga.
My experience in exercise physiology has shaped the way I approach teaching, particularly through a lens of compassion. I recognise that every person arrives with their own experiences, challenges and relationship with their body. Injury, invisible illness and mental health can all influence how we move, feel and participate in the world, and I feel strongly about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, understood and included.
For me, yoga isn't about fitting the body into a particular shape or striving to meet an expectation. It's about meeting ourselves where we are, with curiosity and kindness. It's about recognising that our needs change, that there is no single way to practise, and that movement can be adapted to support us through different stages of life.
I love weaving my knowledge and experience into classes while honouring the depth and tradition of yoga. My intention is to offer a practice that is thoughtful, accessible and compassionate, empowering people to explore what feels right for them, build trust in their bodies and develop a deeper connection with themselves.
